 HP EX475 Sempron 1.8 ghz, 1gb Ram, KVM adapter cables added, 4x4tb New HDD just delivered.

If it stops at bios when pen drives present Its the PEN Drives; Not created appropriately or ISO damaged. Re-create &/or alternative pen drives works.

If you fill all 4 bays in the unit and under Linux only two show up - Its a BIOS setting. change 4P(IDE)+4S(RAID) to 4P(IDE)+4S(IDE)
under Integrated Peripherals, SIS OnChip PCI Device, SIS Serial ATA Mode

Still investigating flakey network card performance. USB Nics apparently work OK.

It has been awhile since I played with a 475, but I am pretty sure you will need the "Vga adapter" and keyboard to get into the bios to make it boot to a usb anything. Because Yes it has a Rom it tries to boot to, the later servers did away with that.

The "Vga adapter" and keyboard /mouse will be needed to install anything else besides the WHS v1 that comes with it so you can see what your doing..

Good Luck.
