I have a MV2120 working flawlessly with automatic weekly backups from one computer (Win XP 02 SP2), but when I setup a second computer (Win XP Media Center 02 SP3) to perform a weekly backup, it only ran the first time. Now the NTI shadow program prompts for a username and password to initiate the backup. I have tried everything I can think of

- used the MV admin ID/pw
- used the MV regular filesharing account ID/pw
- Windows account ID/pw
- Windows admin ID/pw

and it keep on coming back with the prompt, no error message. The NTI Shadow log looks liek th is:
"08/02/2008 02:51:03 PM Unable to get remote path of '\\HPMediaVault\Backup': No HP Media Vaults were detected on your network.
08/08/2008 08:10:55 PM Unable to get remote path of '\\HPMediaVault\Backup': No HP Media Vaults were detected on your network.
08/13/2008 07:55:31 PM Unable to get remote path of '\\HPMediaVault\Backup': No HP Media Vaults were detected on your network.
08/16/2008 08:08:33 PM Unable to get remote path of '\\HPMediaVault\Backup': No HP Media Vaults were detected on your network.
08/20/2008 08:13:31 PM Unable to get remote path of '\\HPMediaVault\Backup': No HP Media Vaults were detected on your network."

I have every other functionality of the MV from the same computer, so it's not a connectivity issue, it's a permissions issue with NTI Shadow. I spent over an hour with the HP tech support guy who stopped cold at the fact that Win XP Media Center 2002 is not supported. That's a crock if it worked fine the first time.

Anyone have any idea what credential button is unchecked somewhere? :x :x

I just realized I cannot browse the Documnets or Backup folders on the MV as the same "Connecting to Hpmediavault" Username/password prompt show sup. I tried using a MV account which has documents/nbackup folders enabled, to no avail.

There is some setting only allowing 1 computer to access these folders. I can't find it.
