I just noticed an icon on the server which seems to show a two drive version of the MSS.

Either an earlier version of the server, or one chopped down as an icon I guess. Still, might be a baby version coming?

I am sure that is an icon someone sliced down. Sorry to burst your bubble! LOL

If that WAS a mini size of the MSS, where would there be a place to mount the motherboard, since the first blue light of the hard drive is on the very bottom (system drive)?

Cute, though....................

Very interesting, looks kind of cool but not nearly as expandable with only two drive bays...

Pretty cool looking. Maybe it is a dual drive external USB enclosure.

There was a picture of the half-height box in last week's BusinessWeek (alongside an EX470/475) in an article reviewing the Mediasmart server (no mention of what the half-height box is, though).

I hope it's an eSATA enclosure -- it'd be real slick if you can stack one of those on top of an EX470/475, get an extra couple of drive bays, and have it match aesthetically.

Apparently this little guy is the MV2120....Gizmodo somehow uncovered this info and we just posted a link back to them on myhomeserver....

Interesting, based on Linux and much lower cost....I'd be interested to see how this one works...

Apparently its just the new version of their media VAULTS. Not media servers.
Good idea to keep the same look.

I like the new design . . . .

The MEDIA VAULT is so much like a regular pc case (the HP SLIMLINE PC).

But, mine has worked well, and has a mound of support on yahoo.

guess I'll continue to use both WHS and MediaVault
