Router Manufacturer: Linksys
Router Model: WRT610N
Firmware Version: 1.00.02 B10 Jan. 21, 2009

Is UPnP supported?: YES
Is UPnP enabled?: YES

Does ISP block any ports?: Not that I'm aware of.
Any additional info/notes?: Every time I log into the router setup to make a configuration change, the MSS gives me an error stating it could not verify ports for remote access. A reboot of the WHS solves the problem, though. A bit of a pain, but then again I rarely need to change the router config.

Any additional info/notes?: I had to call ISP to have IP address released and also bridge the modem.
Worked perfect after that.

For the record this router is a piece of junk.
I have the 1000 model that everyone is having trouble with.
If you have the 1000 model you will want to upgrade to the new beta firmware that can only be found at the Belkin UK website. (not North American)
I understant that they have fixed most of the issues with the new 2000 model & it is recieving better reviews.

I had heard about the poor reviews but, figured that I must have gotten lucky since I was not having any problems with this router.
This was when I only using the router with 2 notbook computers.
Once my network grew to include.
2 Notebook computers
HP Mediasmart Server
Home Server Hacks Shuttle KPS WHS
Iphone
Windows Mobile cell phone
Nientindo Wii

The net work became so unstable that you could not even hardly go 1 day without the network going down or having to restart the router.
The network collapsed under it's own weight when I installed the Keep Vault online back up add in & started to send my files accross it.
I was going to go & pick up a new router the next day when I stumbled accross the beta firmware that seems to have improved everything to the point were it is useable. ( Not Perfect )

Does Remote Access work?:Kinda
Does ISP block any ports?:[TCP - 21, 25, 80, 110, 6667] [TCP/UDP - 135-139, 445, 1433-1434]
Any additional info/notes?:Remote Access kinda works in that I can now access the MSS as long as I add /HPHome (should be able to fix this at TZO?) after the URL (with the correct port for forwarding) none of the applets work though, as they try to resolve without the port at the end of the domain name/and/or IP address. Still working on it. No RDP access at all unless I remote in from the internal interface. I was thinking I have some sort of NAT problem, but frankly, I think more than anything is that Telus sucks. I could at least access the router earlier today and yesterday using my Telus aircard but trying to access it right now in another tab and nada no go. I wonder if the router is simply hosed? I don't think so everything works fine internally, once again I think Telus just frackin' sucks.

The server is set DHCP but I created a reservation in the router firmware.

Any additional info/notes?: Wish it was more reliable. I connect about 50% of the time when away from home. This is the small business Cisco router than has lots of VPN options, although it seems to be overkill for home use.

Did WHS Router config succeed?: I think so...
Was manual Port Forwarding required?: Nope (edit - after disabling Upnp - Yes)
Does Remote Access work?: Yes and No (see notes) (edit - yes - after reinstall)
Does ISP block any ports?: Nope
Any additional info/notes?:
I can access my server remotely (as can other users) - however - downloads are stalling after 15-20 minutes. Please see this post for other info (and if you have any troubleshooting ideas - please respond!):
viewtopic.php?f=5&t=7478
I thought it may be an upload limit or a timeout issue - so I installed the IIS toolkit add-in.

Edit:
Re-installed everything this weekend (3-20-2010) - restored router to factory settings - removed Twonky, Firfly, Arccode, and HP MediaSmart Software (to just leave WHS features) - remote connections are working now and not timing out (also used WHS toolkit to extend the timeout of IIS).

Configuring Remote Access through the Actiontec Q1000 VDSL modem was an amusing experience. While uPNP is supported on the modem, it was not able to configure this automatically. I disabled uPNP and manually defined the port forwards. Once done the remote access script completed successfully. This was actually quite surprising as the Q1000 has a known issue with port forwarding so I was skeptical that this would work. Tested completed configuration from work network and it seems to be working OK.
