My EX475 won't boot up at the moment - all four HD lights are red, and the health light is off. I have tried using a paper clip to press and release the recessed Status/Recovery button on the front of the server, but this does nothing with no status code shown. Sounds like all the fans are blowing full speed, and the only way I can shut the server down is to remove the power cable as the on/off button has no effect.

Any ideas at all?

Bad drive/s.
Needs to have the dust bunnies blown out.
One or all 3 fans have stopped.

I'm assuming you have 4 drives in their, if so, with it powered down, pull the top 3, don't take the bottom out yet and if you ever do mark it, it has to be in that bay.
Pull the top 3 drives out and see if it will boot up.
