The best is in the Circuit City bankruptcy days, some employees were selling the demo floor models to people for a "discounted price of 300$".
What people didn't know is that this was simply a power supply and a board that lit all lights on the server. Contained no drives and no media.
A month later I see someone on ebay selling a EX470 for about 250$ and in the pictures of the auction, you can see all lights are lit (drive bays and bottom lights) yet you can see stuff that is behind the server right through the front door of the unit; not a single hard drive!
So I log into my ebay account and click on Ask Seller a question: "How come all the drive lights are lit if there are no hard drives in the unit? The documentation on HP's site says only bays containing drives will show a lit LED."
Never got an answer.
