Actually the Telephone-Computer told me that this specific product-version would not be supported. She did not mention Server 2003 in her list of supported products as well though.

I also locked myself out of the 490 :( . But I used the guide above (http://www.mediasmartserver.net/wiki/in ... _interface) and was able to access the 490 again...

THAAAANKS!

OK, so this post has saved my life twice now, huge thanks!!! (Yeah, I accidently disabled the network adapter twice in a year - unbelievable). The blind method worked perfectly, once I figured out a little quirk that I thought I'd share.

I use the Swedish keyboard setting and my admin password happened to contain the & (ampersand) character, which is above the 6 key on a Swedish keyboard and above the 7 key on an English keyboard. The thing is that the WHS apparently switches to the Swedish keyboard after I log in, and at the login prompt I'm still on an English keyboard. Tricky, indeed. Only thought of this since I had the same issue on a normal SBS a couple of years ago. So if you don't get your password to work and you have some special chars in there, consider trying with the English keyboard layout.

After looking at the instructions I am wondering if they are complete? After selecting the network adapter, how do you enable the adapter?

My heartfelt thanks go to people behind this post and the blind Wiki. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.

Hello,
I have the same problem or probably a little bit more, I connected a USB keyboard, and I did those steps 3 or 4 times, but no luck. Looks like my WHS does not recognize my keyboard.
Any idea?
thank you,
