All Mediasmart servers require password access. If you don't have it, you'd need to do server recovery/reset depending on if you need to keep data. So that means you need the disk to do it with. |

Thanks for reply I don't need any data from drive. Do you have maybe disc which I would need please? And any instructions how to do it? I read its better to do on windows XP is it true? So I would need find some older pc. I would like to make this working so much... |

Yes, I found that to be correct at the advise of several forum member longer in tooth than I. If you are doing a V1 install on a 47x, you've got the best chance of success with something running XP. If so, we'll figure out how to get you a download of the install disk. They (all three disks) also come up available on fleabay from time to time. There should be at least a half dozen how-to's to install v1 on a 47x on line. At least one or two here in MSS.net. Here's a link to the user guide if you dont have it already http://www.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c01276565.pdf. It's in there too. Also you'll find https://archive.org/web/ is your friend for those reference web sites that tell you "page not found." It's not too terribly challenging, especially if your setup with the server hardwired to the client and no other networking. Video output is nice, but not mandatory. If your not using a video output and a external DVD drive for the install, make sure your using at least a Cat5e data cable to connect the client to the server (it should be printed on the cable if it's Cat5 or Cat5e). Also make sure you disable any antivirus and all three firewall properties found in Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Administrative Tools\Windows Firewall With Advanced Security\Windows Firewall Properties on the client. After that, you should be able to run the install routine from the client and it will automatically find the server and do the install no issue. Thank you for link... But I have found some discs earlier here in some posts and don't know how to check version yet... And so happy.. Serwer working... I got 2 issues, remove If I can't ask here please 1.i turn on remote access in settings but I don't know what to put on other devices in browser to access drive 2. I got healthy light solid red, it says system temp 115 and critical message about some hardware failure.. Shows on picture https://ibb.co/dBHnnzT I have noticed it shows this temp even when I turn it on from cold and stays same all the time. Do you think I should worry or I can try to do something with that? Or maybe sensor is broken. |

I have updated to v2.5 using the offline tool and the individual files but can't get the remaining updates to load. |

Update. After multiple cleanings, I was able to get the disc readable again! It doesn't sound happy but I was able to extract all of the data and make another disc. I have also saved it on the server and on the desktop of my win xp box and notebook. I may try to find somewhere to put the .iso and a zip of the files. |
