Hi All,
On my EX470 if I remote access into the media smart server go into the Control Panel and select “System”. The General tab under system shows only 480 MB of RAM not 512. Additionally, if I go to the task manager and look at the "Physical Memory (k)" the total is 490956. Is this the same as on everyone else’s?

I am worried that my RAM has a problem because it doesn't show up for 512MB.

Thanks,
dubbly

Mine shows the same although I had not looked until you mentioned it.

I'd guess 32MB has been taken for the Graphics Card which is fairly normal on low end chipsets, even the headless board has a graphics chipset on it.

The two figures you quote are normal and are actually the same though, one is basing a MB as 1000KB whereas the other is the true value of 1024KB.

So divide 490956 by 1024 and you get just short of 480MB.

I agree with Cougar, though we'd have to get a peek at the BIOS to be sure...
