Hi all,

I've had my HP EX 470 for a couple of years now and was perfectly happy with it, until the power supply went.

I followed the instructions on the wiki and replaced the supply with:
Athena Power AP-MFATX22 220W Mini ITX
It was about $45 with shipping. I ended up removing the molex connectors with a couple of staples. I used 2 staples that were stuck together on each side. I basically peeled 2 staples off of the staple strip since they are 'glued' together (if that makes sense) It just made the staples stronger. Also, I just put the orange/brown connection to pin 20 as other people had suggested.

The replacement supply is a little louder than the original, but I am back up and running again.

I just wanted to say thanks for the great site.

Awesome, thanks for sharing your results, I'll add it to the Wiki article. Where did you purchase that power supply?

Edit: Looks like it's available at Newegg: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6817338045

Thanks. I thought about adding it to he wiki as well, but I tried my forum login and it does not work there.

I picked it up from Newegg for $43 - $37+$6 S&H.

I tried repairing the old one. At least, I replaced the fuse in it, plugged it in, and watched it blow again. It made the decision to replace it easy.
