Has anybody tried to use the HP Data Vault Software for Mac with Mavericks? It doesn't seem to function. Does anybody know how to use WHS (311 HP Data Vault) to back up a Mac running MacOS Maverick.

Hi aniara,

When Apple released Mountain Lion the ability to use Time Machine was broken and since HP had basically discontinued the MSS and DV lines of servers there has been no attempt on their part to restore this compatibility. If you perform a site search using the term Mountain Lion you will see what I mean and then from there you may find alternative solutions to try. While your post is for Mavericks you really need to look back as far as Mountain Lion and follow things forward.

I wish I had a solution for you but I am not a MAC Person and the only MAC in my house is runs like OS X 10.3 so its in the closet. You should still be able to share files and use an alternate backup solution for the MAC running Mavericks and store the backups on the server but I am not certain what will work.
