The Official Release is saying that the Power Pack is already installed as I had installed the Beta. Since the new one is 50 Kilobytes larger, must be better, right?
I cannot find a way to uninstall the beta to load the official release. Do I need to?

Help please.

Hi John,

You have to install the Beta or RC before you can install the released version. You can do this via RDP, Control Panel and Add/Remove Programs (make sure you tick Show Updates).

I got an interesting guestion. will the update of PP1 released from HP change the flash image of WHS on the MSS? Or will you have to reinstall PP1 after a server restore. Things that make you say HMMMMM.....

Hah! beat you by all of 30 seconds or so! It was that little "Show Updates" box at the top that had me flummoxed.

What about PP1 Beta? Should I uninstall that first before I install PP1 RTM?

Yes, PP1 beta must be removed prior to install of PP1 RTM.

"And then there was light...."

I've waited for this day a very long time and avoided installing the PP1 beta.

Thanks for making the announcement.

Will there be an integrated update from HP that will include both the 1.3 update and PP1?

Unlikely. Unless you buy a new one in a month or so I'd guess. MS updates and HP updates are seperated, hence two update mechanisms.

Im suprised the update is only 22.5MB seems small for such a serious error. Like someone for got to dim a variable hahahaha.

Uninstalled the beta HP Update and installed PP1 then the 1.3 update. Smooth sailing so far. Thanks to all those involved for finally fixing the Data Corruption bug.
