This is a cool addition, but the lights get a bit annoying. It is nice to use to impress the family when they come over for a visit. However, it is not really practical to use it day in and day out. Thanks for sharing.

Am wondering if this addin could be repurposed to allow the LEDs to work on a stock install of WHS or even Vail?

As we've discussion in the other topics, the driver is the required component, it was written for WHS v1 on 32-bit Server 2003, not 64-bit Server 2008. If that driver worked, then a service (such as this Add-In) would be needed to control the lights.

Did you un-install it and did your server start working again?

Hey JRock, maybe you can help the effort on making the lights work in WHS 2011? He just got the basics up and running this week, but the fun lights show would be "fun" to have next.

Question?

I have a san digital drive extender connected to my ex495 and have four hd's in each, i'm currently transfering data to the server an i'm watching the led's flicker with activity. Is it possable for the main unit (MSS) to do the same?

John

People have asked for this in the past, to my knowledge no one has come up with a solution to do this.
