It's possible it can track your session cookie until you close the browser, otherwise the site will get no credit.

I can't seem to find the Amazon link any more. For once I remembered to check here before going shopping! (I have a bunch of search plugins set up in Firefox, so I tend to forget and just use my search box.) Is the Amazon link gone? I tried reloading the first page of this thread a bunch of times, but none of the ads that rotated at the top of the page came up as Amazon.

I recently finished upgrading my server's RAM and upgrading to 3.0 and it wouldn't have been nearly as easy without this site! I always come here first; I only go to other MediaSmart or WHS sites if they're linked from here or they come up in a Google search (which I only do if I can't find what I need on this site, which rarely happens).

Thanks,
Kira

Amazon recently discontinued their Colorado based affiliates due to a state law, so I no longer have a direct relationship with Amazon. :( I've got a relationship with another company that is able to recognize the Amazon revenue from this site and pass along a portion to me, however, so if you click through this site to www.amazon.com before shopping the site should benefit. :mss: Thanks for thinking of the site!

Ah, I see. Well, I did browse a bit before you replied, just to see if I could locate what I wanted, and as it turns out, I'm not ready to buy yet; but I have this thread bookmarked for future reference already, so I will check again the next time I'm looking!

Thanks,
Kira

Alex,

The above link to Amazon does not seem to have the click ID within the URL. Would you please verify for me? I spend a fortune on Amazon and would like to support your wonderful site. At least my wife claims I do.... :D

Thanks Scott, no embedded ID required, clicking through the above link should associate the traffic with this site automatically via included javascript (similar to how Analytics works).

Added www.dell.com for both Home and Small Business shopping, and removed buy.com as they have discontinued their affiliate program.

Thanks a lot Alex. I do most of my online shopping at BH Photo and Amazon. Ha, I just bought something from Frontgate last week and right now I see a banner ad just above the quick reply window. Do you benefit if we order something from an ad that shows on this forum page?

It's been a long process today, but it looks like it's gonna work. A new WHS is $700.

Thanks,

Don N

Thanks Don! The ad above the quick reply is a Google ad, so clicking it earns revenue for the site via Google but not affiliate sales.
