Did you extract the msi file from the zip file that you downloaded? You need to extract that file to be able to install it.

Yes, I did extract it and place it in the Software/Addins folder. It does not show up in the Available Addins even though I can see it in the folder.

I keep a copy of Software/AddIns on my main client. Managed to hide an Add-In there once when I THOUGHT it was on my server. You didn't happen to follow lead perhaps?

I uninstalled 1.0.0.12 and then installed 1.0.0.14 without any problems.

The "Logout" button is a welcomed addition. Thank you for all the improvements.

I see it failed to remove previously and you "got rid of the add-in"; sounds like you managed to remove it from the installed list, but not fully. Take a search of the registry for WHS Health and remove any entries.

Also, if you could post the contents of the relevant ?????addtions.log from %qlogs% on the server from when it failed to uninstall we can see if it's a problem with the installer, or a problem with your setup.

Thanks for the suggestion to search in the registry. I will do that when I get home from work later today and let you know how that worked.

I've attached a zip file with 2 of theaddtions.log from %qlogs%. These had the most info in them and was around the time and date I was messing with uninstalling.

Thanks.

Both of these relate to removal of the Disk Management Add-In I'm afraid.

O.K I went back through the other files for that date and there were none that had any more info than:

Created at 3/9/2010 8:56:00 PM
***** Started at 3/9/2010 8:56:00 PM ***
***** Closed at 3/9/2010 8:56:00 PM ***

Also I went through the Registry and deleted everything that WHS Health in it and that fixed my issue!

Thanks you very much! :D

Thanks for the new version Nigel/Alex,

Last time I wanted to take something out (Back button) but this time I want to put something back in (Serial number) :-)

Is it a simple matter of just adding in the relevant line(s) whatever it/they may be?

Also do I have to install or do anything else before installing the latest version?

Thanks & regards,
-=Glyn=-

Hi Glyn sorry I missed your last post. Nothing special needed for the new version, just remove the old one and add it back in. If you really want the serial number back in let me know and I'll have a look at the code you need

Hi Nigel,

It's been a while but just installed v1.0.0.14 today and I would like to drop the serial number back in if you could give me a pointer please?

Any other things in there that could be displayed...just curious! :)

Something I've just noticed after installing it...I now have a WHS Health entry on my Main Public Homepage where I didn't before?

Obviously if anyone clicked it they would have to log on to access it but I don't want them to even see it!

I have edited the C:\Inetpub\home\WebSites.xml to remove the entry for WHS Health but it is still there!

Have I missed something here?

**UPDATE**
Must have been a cache issue of some sort despite my clearing the cache & refreshing the page earlier because the WHS Health entry on my Public Homepage has now gone! :)

Thanks & kind regards,
-=Glyn=-

Glyn, what's the value of having the serial number displayed?

You can view the Health.xml file to see all available info.
